We are already off and running with our chosen service teams!

The Educational Services Team has many programs already underway. From Holy Trinity’s after school Program Assistance to The Christmas Gala which helps seniors in our community, to Rolling Harvest where students will help prepare and distribute fresh food.

The Social Services Team members have worked at a Habitat for Humanity build site, supported projects at the Bucks County Emergency Shelter and have started the 3rd annual DLFF/Family Service Coat Drive.

The Creative Arts Team (the CATs) are preparing for CEC's Fall Production of "CLUE: On Stage!" Tickets are on sale now! For our visual scholars, the Art Unleashed project has begun.

The Independent Projects Team has some exciting plans for this year’s service! It is also offering opportunities for other scholars to get involved and earn initiative hours. If you are interested in participating, please check out the information on the service calendar.

The DLFF Mentors have begun working with the DLFF/CEC Scholars through one-on-one and group meetings. Our program provides support and teaches DLFF's core traits of responsibility, accountability, initiative, leadership, and service. If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to reach out to your mentor!

The Scholar Leadership Council (SLC) is working on supporting a variety of programs this year. The SLC members will be representing DLFF at multiple events, learning about and connecting with the CEC International Program and assisting with DLFF marketing projects.

DLFF's Lunch & Learn helps the scholars to connect with each other to build soft life skills. On October 17th, our first Lunch & Learn topic was ‘Life Without Cell Phones’. Scholars discussed how difficult the change was at first but were starting to see the positive effects already. Tips from the session can be found on Schoology. Stay tuned for the next DLFF Lunch & Learn in November!

The Remind App is a valuable tool for communication between scholars and the DLFF Mentor Team. It doesn't only work on your phone! Open your Chromebook and access Remind using a browser. In the settings you can enable email alerts for these messages- that way you don't miss information during the school day.

October has just flown by! Have you signed up for your initiative hours outside of your service team yet? There are many opportunities to earn your initiative hours from the DLFF calendar by November 1st. We have a lot of projects that need YOUR support. Contact Mrs. Lynch with any questions.

Let's show our initiative by signing up early!

The DLFF Scholar Resources Page on our website,  should be your first stop if you have any questions about the DLFF/CEC Scholar Program. On this page you will find the DLFF Calendar with upcoming scholar events and service projects. The 2024-2025 Scholar Tracking Form is live! This form will be available on the same scholar resource page and will be posted outside the DLFF classroom.
